Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Connie Mack (FL-14), Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, made the following statement after President Obama's address to the nation on the Obama Administration's plan for America's future involvement in Afghanistan:

"The American people deserve better. Any plan for troop withdrawal should include a constructive dialogue with Congress and our military leaders, which is overdue with respect to our ongoing actions in Libya and was not part of the President's plan moving forward in Afghanistan."
